The Club

You Join By Sailing.

The Club is not a subscription. It is everyone who has been aboard, and it is how the next season is filled before it is published.

The People You Sailed With

Every membership scheme in this industry sells the same thing: a card, a discount and a newsletter nobody reads. We tried to design one of those and could not make it mean anything.

So the Club is the alumni body instead. You are in it because you sailed — a week, a weekend, a charter, New Year. What binds it is not a fee; it is that the people in it have anchored in the same bay, cooked in the same galley and had the conversation that happens somewhere around Wednesday.

It stays small deliberately. A group of two hundred people who have actually met is worth more than a list of ten thousand who have not, and the moment it stops feeling like that it stops working.

Six Things

Dates before anyone else
Every week is offered to the Club before it is published. Small cohorts mean the good ones go this way and never reach the site at all.
The winter programme
The season is short. Between October and April the Club continues online — the practitioners from the health weeks, the founders from Deep Water, and the navigation modules from the Academy.
Your cohort, kept
Each week keeps its own group afterwards. We set it up and then stay out of it, which is why they last.
Introductions
Members ask us to put them in touch with each other, constantly. We do it when both sides want it and never otherwise.
The Gathering
One week a year the fleet sails together. Members are invited first and the price is held for them.
Sea Trial credit
Members considering ownership take the Sea Trial week at cost, credited in full against a purchase.

The First Fleet

Everyone who sails with us in the first season is recorded as First Fleet. Their name goes on the perpetual bell, this year’s prices are held for three years, and they see every date before it is published — permanently, not for a year.

There will only ever be one first season. When it is full, that door closes and does not reopen.

See What Is Sailing

How It Works

Sail first
Almost everyone joins after a week or a charter. That is the intended route and the reason the Club holds together.
Or apply
If you have not sailed with us yet but the house makes sense to you, write. Tell us your background and your connection to the sea. We read every application ourselves.
There is no tier list
We removed it. People are either in the Club or they are not, and paying more does not move you up something that does not exist.
It can be declined
Rarely, and always politely. A small group only stays worth belonging to if somebody is willing to say no.

Apply To The Club

Introduce yourself - your background, and your connection to the sea. Every application is read personally.

The Academy

Own The Knowledge, Not Just The Week

A guest reads the sea from a sunbed. An owner reads it from the chart table. Module one is open to everyone.
