Deep water is where you stop being able to see the bottom, and where the sailing actually begins. It is also the only place worth working.
This is a week for founders with something live — a raise, a pivot, a hire they have avoided, a decision that has been open for months. Mornings are structured working sessions on deck. Afternoons sail. Evenings are dinner ashore with a table of people who have solved a version of your problem and will tell you plainly what it cost them.
No stage, no panel, no badge. Twelve to eighteen people across a small flotilla, chosen so the room is worth your week.
How The Days Run
- Day One
- Split. Boarding, and each founder states the decision they came to make.
- Day Two
- Session one on deck. Sail out to the islands after lunch.
- Day Three
- Peer review. Three problems, taken apart properly.
- Day Four
- The long passage. Boats mix crews at the halfway anchorage.
- Day Five
- Session on capital, structure and the things nobody posts about.
- Day Six
- Free sailing, and a last dinner as one table.
- Day Seven
- Return to Split. Each founder leaves with a decision made and a date on it.
