We Do Not Place Crew We Have Not Met.
A working list for the Adriatic — skippers, hostesses, chefs and deck crew, vetted in person before they go aboard.
The Weak Link Is Never The Boat
A charter is ruined by people, not by weather. The skipper who will not explain anything. The “chef aboard” who is a hostess with a frying pan. The crew who are perfectly competent and perfectly cold.
We say on every page that we do not place crew we have not met. This is where that promise is kept: papers checked, references taken up, and a conversation before anyone is put in front of a guest. It is slower than an agency and it is the reason our weeks hold their standard.
Women are actively encouraged to apply. This industry has a great many skippers and very few of them are women, and that is not because the tickets are harder to get.
What We Look For
- Skippers
- Commercially endorsed, with STCW and a valid medical. Adriatic experience preferred, and the temperament to teach rather than perform.
- Hostesses and stewardesses
- Service, provisioning and the judgement to know when guests want company and when they want to be left alone.
- Chefs and cooks
- Able to cook properly in a galley that moves, to a real dietary brief, with what the islands actually have.
- Deck and technical
- Maintenance, tenders, water sports, and enough systems knowledge to fix the small thing before it becomes the large one.
- Instructors and practitioners
- For the experience weeks: pilates and mobility, breath and stillness, photography, and clinicians with the credentials to match what we promise.
Send your details through the form below and we will write back. Certificates and references are requested by email once we have spoken — never by message, and never before.
Posting A Position
Free, and it stays free. Tell us the vessel, the season, the position and what you pay. We put it to people we have met rather than to a database, which means fewer applications and better ones.
We take no placement fee from crew, ever. Anyone charging a seafarer to be placed is doing something you should walk away from.
Crew & Positions
Crew: your position, your tickets and your seasons. Owners: the vessel, the dates and the role. We answer everything personally.
Start At The Academy
Most people who love this work started late and felt foolish for two days. Module one is open to anyone.
